Census chief: Bennett's immigration bill not practical

Sen. Bob Bennett wants t ocollect information about who has came into the Untied States illegally.  Not many people agree with Bennett's proposal.  "Census Director Robert Groves said that's not practical a mere six months before the questionnaires are mailed to every household."


Birthrate, age of mothers on the rise in Canada.

The TFR in Canada seems to be increasing.  Half of the babies being born are being born to mothers over the age of 30.  "Canadian women gave birth to 367, 864 babies in Canada in 2007, up 13,247 or 3.7 per cent from 2006."  The numbers of the babies born in 2007 are at their highest since 1995 and 5th consecutive annual increase.

Australia's population grew it's fatest in 50 years.  "The growth rate had almost doubled in five years."  Australians population would two thirds to 35 million by 2049.
