Global Warming

Global Warming

Some scientists and many people are quite convinced that people are the main cause of global warming. I also agree with this theory because every day we contribute to green house gases. How do we contribute every day? We drive our cars, we heat our homes during the winter, some houses are poorly insolated, we smoke cigarettes, and many other reasons! There are 5 most deadly effects of global warming

1. Ice caps melting, which makes the sea level rise and will result in major cities going under water.

2. Economic consequences, which are hurricanes and diseases that need billions of dollars to repair and cure.

3. Increased probability and intensity of droughts and heat waves, other areas of the earth will suffer serious heat waves and droughts, especially Africa.

4. Warmer waters and more hurricanes, as the ocean’s temperature rises, the hurricanes strength level will increase.

5. Spread of disease, as the northern countries warm up, the disease spreading insects will migrate north and bring more diseases to the north.

Even though many people including myself believe in global warming, many people still believe that it is a myth. Some people didn’t get the education to really understand global warming, therefore they don’t believe that global warming is occurring. Another argument of global warming would be that people are against global warming or they don’t want to believe that global warming is occurring. In my theory, global warming is and has been occurring for many years and we are going to have to do a lot more to slow it down.
